I'm Ms. Nyota Starr Koya, most people call me Starr. I started cosmetology school in 1975 in San Francisco, CA. This is where I discovered my life long passion for quality products, and inspiring clients with different textures of hair, to obtain a healthy scalp and beautiful manageable hair. I earned my first license from the California Board Of Cosmetology in 1976, In 1984 I challenged the New York City Board Of Cosmetology and received another license. I practiced cosmetology in NYC for 4 years, and I still keep my N.Y. license current today.
Through out the years I would blend my own concoctions using over the counter products, in hopes of achieving my ultimate goal to managable hair.
Then one day I had an epiphany that it was seriously time to nuture my passion and develope Hair Skin Vittles Gourmet Products LLC, Now I've discovered my purpose!
